Who we are
We are a family owned and operated business that has been providing home health care in Arizona since 1998. We run as a virtual company with a network of providers and caretakers across Maricopa County. This gives us the ability to move fast and adjust to family needs, along with providing the appropriate environment for innovation and creative ideas. As Exceptional Kids continues to grow, our commitment to the people we serve remains our first priority. Providing the best quality services possible is our ultimate goal. We remain small and grow at a manageable pace because of this. To this day we know every family and every client under the Exceptional Kids roof and we intend to keep this ethos as we feel it provides a better service for our families.
Who we serve
We serve individuals with developmental disabilities, learning disabilities, autism, Down’s syndrome, cerebral palsy, seizure disorders, and other mental, physical, or sensory challenges. All services are provided in the home or community with a focus on independence.
Our Intake Process
Enroll
If your family member is part of the Arizona Long Term Health Care Containment System then you may enroll for services immediately. Simply fill out our brief enrollment form online and submit. Once our staff reviews your information, we will call you and discuss services and goals further.
Interview
Once both parties have a firm understanding of services desired, we will be able to appropriately place your family member with an exceptional provider, tailored to your needs. If we don’t have a provider on staff that meets these needs, then this would be the time to begin an outside search to hire someone specifically for your family member.
Begin
At this point we have appropriately placed your family member with a qualified provider and all paperwork has been completed. Services are ready to begin!
How we hire
Hiring quality individuals for our Direct Support Professional position is essential to providing exceptional services. To make that happen, we have a thorough hiring and training process that begins with interviews which we conduct and determine who we feel comfortable sending in to your home. From there, you get to pick and interview from the candidates that we selected, thus insuring the best possible match for your family member. If you have a friend or family member that is interested in providing care to your loved one, they can be hired to assist as long as they meet all of our requirements and qualifications.
